Work as Practice
Clarity is the new
leadership skill.
Capability is becoming cheap. As AI absorbs more of the work, the scarce advantage is judgment: seeing clearly, deciding well, and staying steady under pressure. That isn't a talent you have or don't. It's a practice.
01
Work as practice
The work itself is the training ground. Not separate from it, not a reward after it. The meetings, the decisions, the pressure are where clarity is built. The friction isn't in the way. The friction is the rep.
02
Clarity as a skill
Attention, judgment, and composure improve with deliberate practice, and erode without it. The people leaning hardest on AI to think for them are the ones whose own judgment dulls fastest. The skill has to be kept, not outsourced.
03
A community forming
A place for people who lead, and who want to keep their judgment sharp while the tools around them get smarter. Writing, conversation, events, and tools to practise with, all taking shape here.
This is the beginning
Writing, events, and a small set of tools are taking shape here. If the idea resonates, for yourself, your team, or your organisation, I'd like to hear from you.
